Honda CB250 DX Fuel Tank
This particular tank came in looking very tired and dull but the owner just wanted the tank bringing back to life without a full respray. After thoroughly cleaning and preparing the tank, 3 coats of top quality, scratch resistant german lacquer was applied. This was followed up by wet sanding the lacquer to remove any 'orange peel' to leave the lacquer completely flat and level ready for machine compounding. The compound and polish process removes all the wet sanding marks leaving a mirror like finish. All tanks are then waxed and sealed to protect from the elements.
The pictures below show the tank how it was received, the wet sanding process, the side by side comparison of sanded v unsanded and then the finished tank.
